Domain Name Registration

Every website needs a domain name - a unique address which can be typed into a web browser or followed via a link to arrive at it.

Domain names have to be registered at the relevant domain registry.  For example, to obtain a "dot com" you must purchase - and then renew annually - a "second level" domain from the appropriate registry.

Commercial and private UK domains are obtained from Nominet.  Unlike some "country code" domains, it is not possible to buy a second-level UK domain such as something.uk, you must buy a third-level one such as: something.co.uk.  You may then publish a website at www.something.co.uk.

For example, this site is www.tendersoft.co.uk.

Domain Name Registration Made Easy

We can register any available name you require, from most registries (with some exceptions like the Irish .ie). The costs vary according to country, exchange rates, etc.

Already got one? Then make use of it! Our web design / hosting services are compatible with domains obtained elsewhere.  Most registrars provide you with sufficient tools to "repoint" your domain to our servers.  We will be  happy to assist customers with any technical issues that may arise.
