Web Design

Our Mini Web Package is a smart and simple pre-designed website; we will simply finish it in your choice of colours plus include your logo or create a basic, text-based one for you.

With our Economy Web Package, you also have a choice of background imaging (for example, a textured effect like paper or steel, or a photograph representing your services).

For our Standard, Pro and Premium web packages, we can offer you more choice on the general layout of your pages, to give you a more custom-built result and to allow your site to be stream visitors to the key areas you want to draw them to.

Furthermore, in the Full Web Suite, you may have a distinctly designed home page - if necessary, completely different in layout to any of the rest of the site - to highlight your key benefits, capture attention, and move visitors in the right directions.

Features

All of our sites feature easy to use buttons allowing your pages to be forwarded, Tweeted, and linked to from social sites (such as Facebook and LinkedIn, etc.).

For the Economy package we can set up a simple automatic slideshow, switching between different pictures, while for the Standard package we can offer a number of additional alternative ways of showing a picture album such as zoom-in thumbnails.

For our higher-value sites - Pro and above - we will also create a favicon (like the yellow T on this site) shown in most browser's address bars and / or bookmarks, to add to your site's completeness.

We will also create a table like the one on this page or a set of pop-up boxes like this one - or several of them in the case of Premium and Web Suite packages.

In addition, the Full Web Suite can include features using Flash, such as a Flip Book.

Custom Programming

Unlike most web designers (even big telephone companies turning their hand to web design), we are real programmers rather than script configuration artists. We don't just configure the package: we wrote it. For example, we wrote the web editor available to all of our customers to allow anyone - without special skills or software - to maintain their own websites. Where we have added in outside features such as gallery / slideshow libraries, we have written interfaces to them to allow them to be easy for the non-expert to manage.

This programming is directly available when you commission a Tender Soft web system.

For the value range (Mini, Economy, and Standard sites), this capacity is largely limited to setting up a reply-form, so that your visitors have an easy method to get in touch with you.

For Pro web sites we can also provide simple facilities such as a sign-up form, allowing you to manage your mailing lists.

If you go for our Premium offer, we can set you up a working e-commerce solution such as a mini shop listing up to 120 products in a simple product layout, with full checkout facilities including payment by Paypal / cheque / etc.

We can extend this shop in the case of a Full Web Suite, allowing hundreds of products to be listed in a more sophisticated layout. We can perform simple integrations of social sites, for example listing your Facebook activity or relevant Tweets, automatically, within your pages. Or we may be able to accommodate your specific data-processing needs.

Sometimes a programmed solution can be very simple to accomplish. Not always, though. But in all events and for all levels of site: tell us about your needs or wishes while you are in the planning stage, and we'll give you some ideas of what can be done within your budget.

A Logo for your Enterprise

Even the most simple logo can give a business a stronger identity and memorability. If you already have a logo: please send it to us in as high a quality as you have available, and we will incorporate it into your site.

If you don't have a logo, we can create something suitable for general use. For Mini and Economy sites, we'll simply render your business name or message using a choice of standard graphical effects, for example:

In the case of Standard and Professional sites, we will use logo-creation software to offer a fuller logo incorporating both words and standard graphics, in your choice of colours.

For Premium and Web Suite customers, we can work with you to produce a unique, more customized logo, based on your own ideas or preferences.

Pictures on your Website

Although it's better not to over-load, a website tends to work best when it's well illustrated with relevant or at least sympathetic pictures.

Even our Mini 3-page website allows you to upload up to 12 pictures, while our Full Web Suite, when including the shop catalogue, will allow you a massive 1000+.

Pictures come in four different kinds:

1. Pictures that you supply to us, which we upload and set for you as part of the initial web design job.
2. Pictures from professional libraries, which we supply and use as before to compliment those you provide. (Specialist subjects and exacting needs may occasionally involve extra cost.)
3. Product pictures (for e-commerce supporting packages) which are uploaded as part of the e-commerce manager and are subject to a quota based on your catalogue size.
4. Extra picture quota - for you to upload further pictures once you take control of your site, keeping it fresh and updated.

All of our packages include generous picture quotas; the mid-range packages upwards include library pictures; and the upper-range packages include picture quota for every additional shop product you add.

Web Hosting

Web hosting keeps your website on a server computer with a high-speed and permanent connection to the Internet, making your website available around the world all day, every day of the year. Via a login access, you may also update your access from any computer in the world with an Internet connection (including tablets and mobiles, if they have a large enough screen resolution).

All our packages include one year's premium-level hosting for free. The premium package gives you unlimited email-based support direct from Tender Soft. It also includes a free design update every four years for the lower range packages based upon a standardized design; while for bespoke websites it offers a four-yearly redesign for only 10% of the relevant package cost.

Economy Hosting

To keep costs down, we also offer an Economy hosting package: £25 a year as long as your total annual bandwidth usage is under 12GB.

Domain Name Registration

Once your site is built, the only other ongoing cost besides hosting is typically domain name registration. You may register your domain name via your favourite registrar (a few of them charge extra for basic features so you might want to check with us before doing this). Alternatively, we are able to register most types of domain in your name at a cost of typically around £5-£10 a year.

Mobile Websites

Ever more people are accessing the web on the move - soon it will be the more common method of doing so - and we can't ignore the challenges this brings.

A mobile site can no longer be a crude re-rendering or a stripped-down version of your main site. You have to deliver your message in a method tailored to the new medium.

We are starting to develop mobile websites aiming to render well on the majority of devices in use today. Our higher-level packages include a mobile website that you can separately edit, whether a simple home page to announce your presence on the Premium package through to a fully functional mobile showroom with our Web Suite.

Professional Printing

For most business, printing is far less important than it used to be. Nowadays,a  new business would order a website much like a decade or two ago it would have ordered a letterhead. But while print's importance has waned, it should not be overlooked.

Business cards are no longer a crude indexing system to fill up your wallet, but a major selling tool. Don't put your CV on your card: use it to promote your website, and to sell product. You can now put your latest product photo on your card: or even a one-use special discount code.

Our higher level packages include the custom design and printing of a starter pack of 48 business cards. (We'll also give you details of our printers so that you can order reprints at cost for yourself.)

Peering into the Unknown

Ordering a new website can seem like a big step. And once you have your Tender Soft website built: the idea of updating it yourself may seem daunting - despite the fact that it's quite easy, and essential! That's why we are setting up a peer system to help reassure new customers and allow everyone to make a flying start...

You may have been introduced to Tender Soft via a Peer Guide - or we may be able to introduce you to one in your area. A Peer Guide is simply someone like you: someone who has a business or organization to promote, or other need for a website, and who has gained a little experience in the use of our web systems.

As part of your package, we will pay your friend or local colleague - in cash or in free services - to spend some time with you prior to and after the launch of your website to help you plan your needs and then to start managing the delivered system.

Your Guide will allocate their time according to the package you buy, and it will be available from "pre-sales" support until 60 days after launch. And while, as a non-expert, they may not know the answer: we will provide them with working-hours standard-rate telephone support regarding your site during your first 60 days - so the answer will always be to hand.

As well as start-up support, we hope that the contacts made through the Peer Guide system may continue, allowing local networks of users to support each other - not particularly in the technical matters but in ideas for online promotion, use of social sites and new services that become available, and general networking, and feeding needs and demands back to Tender Soft so that we can systematically keep in touch with the user community and develop our services in line with its expectations.

Become a Peer Guide

If you have a Tender Soft website: perhaps you should become a Peer Guide yourself?

There's nothing to it! A willingness to do it is the only real qualification. You are not expected to be "expert" at anything: we can already supply our customers with any necessary expertise.

The advantages of being a Peer Guide include:

• You may help friends out and make new contacts who will in due course feed ideas back into your own website or business.
• We will pay you - £20 in cash or £30 in services for a Mini website, right up to £120 or £180 in services for a Full Web Suite (with the interim packages increasing in steps of £20 cash / £30 in services).

We will pay you 50% on receipt of order payment and 50% upon satisfactory completion of the project. You may need to declare any payment as income for tax purposes.
