Web Design: Examples of Standard Sites

[ Please bear with us; these examples will be updated shortly to reflect our current product range.  Meanwhile, these are some basic sites that illustrate some of the work that we are doing. ]

Site Design 1

This is a typical example of what you can expect to take delivery of in a few days' time. In this case, we are working for a dog kenneling business.

The client had no suitable pictures to hand, so we found and customized some suitable stock ones. In addition we used a simple graphical background and also created a basic "paw" logo.

We were only given very brief instructions, but that is all we require. The site is laid out according to our suggestions, and now the client can now fill in the copy herself (either by using our easy-editor, or by sending over text for us to set up at no extra charge).

Sites tend to grow over time, and you can see how any new pages will easily fit into this design. Once saved, all that is required is a little thought about whether a new page should be linked to from a new button on the "main menu" to the left - or, for less significant pages, a simple link from somewhere within the text will do.

Smaller businesses can sum up most or all of what their website needs to say in a short, one-page essay. It's just about re-working the presentation of the message for the internet.

The content of this manicurist's site closely followed the client's A4 tri-fold leaflet, giving her media a consistent look while producing a nice, simple and very usable site.

Site Design 3

Here's a live site that's been taken over by the owner: a handyman based in Oxford. We set up the basic layout and a couple of pages showcasing examples of his work - now he can use them as templates whenever he wants to add extra pages of his own. (He's a real, live person, so if you have some odd jobs you need doing in the Oxfordshire area...).

Site Design 4

At our prices: custom web design is not just for businesses! Clubs, groups, families and hobbyists can all benefit from a professional look too. What better way to celebrate and promote your activities, services, celebrations and anniversaries? For example, this site will celebrate and promote endangered sea mammals. It's now ready for handover to the clients, to complete the text and add a few pictures of thier own.

Site Design 5

We aim to prove that you can be small and still compete head-on with the big players with a good-looking website. This handover-ready site is for a small letting agent. A full-scale property site matching the facilities of the market leaders would cost many thousands. But our facilities and the use of "template pages" (which can include content as well as design) put the management of such a site within everyone's reach.

Site Design 6

This very site is design 6! 100% designed and built using our standard facilities (with only some programming bolt-ons to make the order system and above preview link-backs work). Of course, we have a lot more copy in here than you'd be likely to have ready for your brand new site.

It can be difficult to find graphics that illustrate computing concepts while avoiding cliche, so we've gone for a simple geometric design in businesslike black, white and deep blues, and then dotted illustrative graphics around the site where it needed them.

We Believe in our own Product!

Many web publishers now offer their customers some kind of web-building suite (often one that's bought in, which they can't amend and develop themselves). We are unusual in that we actually publish our own site using ours! If they find their own products too generic, templated and inflexible to commit their business sites to - why should you be settle for something they've rejected?
